Newport City Official Departure List

The club would like to wish some goodbyes to players who are departing us for the 2023/24 season.

Amongst the list is former captain, Spencer Wood. Spenny was an absolute legend and gave his all every time he entered the field for Newport City, and represented us with real pride. A man who didn’t score many, we were all in shock when he scored a hattrick (albeit, of penalties) against Undy in the Welsh Cup.

Elsewhere, young star Sam Westhead departed due to locality reasons after returning north from university. Sam was a calm head in midfield with an old head on young shoulders and made 15 league appearances for us last season.
